Spring Equinox
in Little Eden
Honoring the Air and Birds
Sunday 27th of September, 2026
from 1pm
@ Maintaining Eden
in Mullumbimby, NSW
(next to Santos)
An open community event to celebrate and honor the Spring Equinox in the Northern Rivers. This is intended to be a multi-cultural event for the different tribes and lineages of our area to honor this point of the year, this relation between sun and earth, and the element of air.
Donations will be invited to support organic hot pots for rough sleepers, our local bird wildlife, and a third of donations will go towards covering the event and the Buen Canto fund for future events.
Please join us to come together in a good way! Expressions of interest and inspiration for how to best celebrate are encouraged and well received (see below). Thank you!
We are on Bundjalung country
Deep respect to the Widjabul Wia-bal country and Bundjalung nation. We offer acknowledgment and pay respect to the elders of this country - past, present and emerging.
This gathering is offered with intention for the health of this country; for its original songs and dances to flourish; for its native people and life to be in a good way; and for richer intercultural sharing and support to grow here.
Our Host: Maintaining Eden
Thank you to Kiwa and the lovely whanau of Maintaining Eden for their openness and support for such a welcoming gathering. We will have great opportunity to enjoy their delicious organic food, their music, and their loving hospitality.
Thank you as well for their inspiration to bring more organic food to the street and to make it available to all! It is with their help and generosity that we will use funds to bring organic hot pots to rough sleepers.
Little Eden
We thank Santos for the opening of the garden space and for their interest to support more community connection. May these events bring more love and care to this location on earth and to the good work that happens there.
